I am an artist and professor at Bowling Green State University. My research and my  teaching are fueled  by  a  curiosity  about how  images function as the glue that binds together the inner world of perception, thoughts and feelings with the outer world  of things, objects and events.  Images on this site may be used for non-profit purposes as long as they are clearly attributed. Writings and educational materials may be copied or extensively quoted by permission only.

Projects, Installations & Video

Old dog.  New tricks.  Go figure.   Actually, a return to my performance roots but with a decidedly lo-fi feel.

Paintings

If an image is worth a thousand words, then these galleries are linguistically equivalent to... um... let's see... carry the two... Well, anyway, it's lots.  Lots of words.  You do the math.

Thinking in Public

Essays, articles, academic papers and other writing projects either too long or too grammatically correct to become blog fodder.

 SMATTER ART

A two-word question posing as a description.  A blog of musings, observations, and works in progress.  Untidy thoughts for those who go for that sort of thing.

Blips and Blurbs
